IDConsortium’s general director, Macarena Sanz, delivered an insightful presentation yesterday on funding opportunities for women entrepreneurs in deep tech, underlining the company’s commitment to bridging the gender gap in technology. The event, organized by Enterprise Europe Network Madrid (EEN Madrid), drew a relevant audience of industry leaders, policymakers and aspiring entrepreneurs.
In her keynote, Sanz detailed the findings related “Bridging the Gender Gap: Analysis of Horizon Europe Funding to Women-Led Innovations.” She highlighted the progress that has been made in funding women-led innovations in European programmes.
Additionally, Sanz introduced the Women Tech EU program, aimed at financing women-led startups in the deep tech sector. This initiative will provide non-diluting finance of up to 75k€ and a personalized business development program to support women at the helm of early-stage startups across the European Union and associated countries.
“The Women Tech EU initiative represents a significant step forward in our commitment to fostering an inclusive ecosystem in deep tech,” said Sanz. “By specifically supporting women entrepreneurs, we aim to not only address the funding disparity but also empower women to lead and innovate.”
IDConsortium continues to lead the way in supporting women in technology through both advocacy and direct programmatic support, striving for a future where women have equal opportunities to succeed and lead in tech industries.
