Two different types of project activities will be supported:

Pre-breeding activities:
based on the use of olive genetic resources extracted from Germplasm Bank collections to characterize/test new traits that can be bred into new olive tree varieties.

Enabling technologies development activities:
based on the development of a technological solution aiming at supporting the implementation of pre-breeding activities for olive tree varieties. Technology to be developed will held a minimum TRL of 6 (see TRL definition)

Indirect costs (room rent, energy costs or general administration costs. A flat rate of 25% of the direct eligible costs shall be applied)

GEN4OLIVE is an European funded project that aims at accelerating the mobilisation of Olive GenRes and enhance olive pre-breeding activities through a multi-actor approach, by: 1. Developing easy-to-use tools to leverage the information collected through a smart user-friendly interface that will implement big data and machine learning utilities; 2.
