ARMINES (OIE) participated in the Life Cycle Management 2023 (LCM 2023) Conference in Lille, France, held from 6-8th September 2023, presenting the methodological protocol developed within the PRODIGIO framework for constructing Life Cycle Assessment models.
Andriamahefasoa Rajaonison, Rebecca Nordio, Ana Sánchez-Zorano, Raphaël Jolivet, Joanna Schlesinger, Thierry Ranchin, and Paula Pérez-López presented a compelling study titled ‘Dynamic LCA Modeling for Accurate Evaluations of Biobased Energy Systems: Is It Worth It?’ The authors explored the effectiveness and value of employing dynamic Life Cycle Assessment models in the assessment of biobased energy systems. The presentation also covered the comparison of environmental results using both static and dynamic modeling approaches.
In addition, ARMINES (OIE) also participated in the Summer School ‘A Sea of Knowledge – Study Abroad,’ held in July 2023 at the University of Almeria. Dr. Paula Pérez-López delivered a lecture on ‘Sustainability assessment of microalgae processes: A Life Cycle Assessment perspective.’
