IMDEA Energy also coordinates the YAF (Yeast-based solutions for sustainable Aviation Fuels) Project as part of the ‘Horizon-Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Networks.’ YAF aims to train the next generation of researchers in a highly interdisciplinary and intersectoral research environment to address upcoming challenges related to yeast-based Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) production. The research program includes the production of carbon sources from biowastes via modified anaerobic digestion.
